About Us
First formed in September 1948, Bramley Players is an experienced amateur dramatic society producing a wide variety of shows that are thoroughly enjoyed by everyone involved and, so we are told, by those who come to watch.
We always welcome new talent to join our acting company. Energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to challenging and rewarding activities are essential! Previous acting experience is not necessary, although this is a bonus.
Rehearsals are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Bramley Village Hall, Hall Road, Bramley GU5 0AX. The Village Hall was converted from a large tithe barn and has exposed medieval timbers. There is plenty of parking space and we use the large hall and the stage to rehearse.
Photos and more information about the hall can be found at www.bramleyparish.co.uk/village_hall.htm
Directions from Guildford
Take the A281 South towards Horsham, enter Bramley (no clear village sign),
pass Bramley Golf Club on the right hand side, turn left at the roundabout (there
is a garage on the corner), and then turn right into Hall road, signed “Bramley
Village Hall”. (If you pass Bramley disused station you've missed the
turning) . . .
Most productions are at the Electric Theatre in Guildford.
The Players welcome people interested in being involved in acting and in back stage; including lighting, sound production, set design and construction or stage management.
